Studio Vetrarte di Paolo Corpetti
The Vetrarte Studio of Paolo Corpetti was founded in Rome in 1987 and has since been dedicated to the design and creation of artistic stained glass for sacred art and interior architecture.
- Leaded stained glass
- Tiffany technique
- Glass fusing
- Grisaille painting
- Sandblasted and engraved glass
- Stained (recycled) glass
- Crystal rain ceilings
We design and create stained glass for doors, skylights and false ceilings, interior and exterior windows, and decorative partitions.
Our work also includes luminous walls, walkable decorated glass floors, and refined glass claddings.
To traditional craftsmanship we combine experience, experimentation, and the use of advanced materials and contemporary methods.

We personally handle every phase of the work: design, fabrication, transport, and installation, in Italy and abroad.
We also carry out restoration and safety interventions on artistic stained glass windows and canopies.
Free estimates and preliminary sketches are available upon request.

Our Work
…and Our Passion
Passion is perhaps what most clearly defines our studio: an artisan workshop suspended between the Middle Ages and the future.
Our work—our profession—is a commitment that is never fully won or lost, but always renewed. Craftsmanship is a professional choice, but it would not be wrong to call it a way of life: one that, though seemingly anachronistic, preserves the wholeness of human expression.

To imagine, conceive, design, build, and install: these are the stages of our work.
Whether it is a small panel or the monumental windows of a cathedral, the realization of an idea is the true meaning of our craft.
All of this is grounded in a deep knowledge of the three fundamental materials at its core: light, color, and glass.

All of this is grounded in a deep knowledge of the three fundamental materials at its core: light, color, and glass.
Through many years of uninterrupted activity, we have worked with a truly unique material: glass.
A material to be cut, heated, shaped, melted, and blown. Glass alone is both rigid and ductile, capable of taking form or remaining compact and solid. Hard and fragile at once, glass vibrates in the light and makes its colors vibrate in return.

In stained glass, light is not represented—as it is in painting—but is real and present.
Our work is, quite literally, painting with light.

Collaborations Artists Designers
In addition to stained glass for churches and large-scale projects, we design and create stained glass works for interior architecture.
Nothing furnishes a space like light, and nothing shapes it like glass: filtering, coloring, softening, attenuating, and enhancing it at the same time.
Interior stained glass—primarily for doors, but also for partitions, internal windows, skylights, and glass false ceilings—offers a refined, elegant, and distinctive solution, often more accessible than one might expect.

Each project is conceived to harmonize with the surrounding architecture, transforming light into a defining element of the space.
